Our Story: A 5,600-Mile Coincidence
We first connected over a shared passion for trail running, but as we began talking about our pasts in technology and operational auditing, we uncovered a series of mind-boggling coincidences.
Despite meeting 5,600 miles away from where we grew up, we discovered we both spent our childhoods just a few miles apart in the French Basque Country, in Abense-de-Bas, a tiny, tight-knit village of just 100 inhabitants. Looking back even further, we realized our grandparents used to play cards together decades ago. We had grown up practically as neighbors without ever knowing it, only to cross paths half a world away to build a premier inventory counting company.
The Origin of "Zenbaki"
It was only natural that our physical auditing company should honor these shared roots. The word "Zenbaki" (pronounced Zen-BAH-kee) means "number" or "quantity" in Basque, a perfect reflection of our daily focus.
